My own products are where I take an idea all the way from the first commit to the systems behind it.
const response = await fetch( proxyUrl, { headers: { 'Authorization': token } } );
A developer utility for getting past CORS integration friction, with controlled API proxying.
I designed and built FixCors as an independent micro-SaaS. The engineering work covers request handling, access controls, rate limits, and the operational demands of a proxy service.
Free browser-based television built around public IPTV streams and a controlled playback architecture.
I separated playback authorization from media delivery. A NestJS and MySQL control plane selects sources and issues signed URLs; Nginx and MediaMTX handle the HLS streams. The architecture keeps source handling behind a controlled playback interface.

From patient records to airline journeys and global logistics, I’ve spent 7+ years turning complex requirements into software people can use.

Retail systemsA BIT ABOUT ME
I’m Muhammad Rehan, a software engineer based in Dubai. I started with computer science at COMSATS and kept following interesting problems, from robotics projects to systems used in healthcare, travel, and logistics.
I enjoy the whole process: understanding what people need, making the interface feel right, and making sure the system underneath holds up. Outside my day job, I build products, contribute to open source, and write about what I learn.

Credits Rehan with the real-time miner monitoring dashboards and APIs, a drop of more than 25% in downtime incidents, and deployment cycles cut by over 40% after the move to Kubernetes and CI/CD. Notes his habit of translating between business and engineering goals.
Describes rebuilding a client’s observability stack in live production, where Rehan proposed a parallel-stack migration that let customers move across with minimal risk, alongside per-flow bandwidth monitoring and alerting that cut downtime in critical systems by 20%.
Writes about the mentoring side: learning React and Strapi directly from Rehan, and crediting much of his own progress as a developer to that guidance. Describes Rehan setting the architecture and technical direction for the monitoring work.
Recalls Rehan’s ERP and CRM work at AUS, including the transition off the legacy Ellucian Banner system onto Oracle Fusion, and describes the work as reliable and well organised across faculty, staff and student systems.
Recalls Rehan helping shape his final-year breast cancer detection project and organising programming competitions for their cohort, and says he has remained a person he turns to for advice on cloud technologies since.
Writes from thirteen years of knowing him: consistently strong in programming, robotics and networking at university, usually the first to pick up a new technology, and regularly helping classmates untangle their own projects.
